UFC 333 is one of the biggest numbered UFC events of the season. The UFC Featherweight Championship will be on the line in the main event of the evening: reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski of Australia will defend his title against undefeated top contender Movsar Evloev of Russia. The second title fight of the evening will be a trilogy bout for the UFC Bantamweight Championship between champion Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili. In addition to the two title fights, the event card features a number of high-profile matchups, including Alexander Volkov vs. Rizvan Kuniev, Arnold Allen vs. Aaron Pico, Dominick Reyes vs. Azamat Murzakanov and more. This lineup makes UFC 333 one of the most action-packed numbered UFC events held outside North America. For fans planning to purchase tickets once the event date is confirmed, this is a chance to see several championship-level bouts on the same night. Volkanovski enters the fight with a record of 28 wins and 4 losses. His nickname, “The Great,” is backed up by his achievements: five successful title defenses during his first championship reign, reclaiming the belt at UFC 314 in his bout with Diego Lopes, and a victory in the rematch at UFC 325. Abu Dhabi is a familiar destination for Volkanovski: at Etihad Arena, he defended his title against Max Holloway at UFC 251, while at UFC 294 he fought Islam Makhachev in a memorable bout for the lightweight title. Evloev, meanwhile, enters the Octagon with a perfect record of 20 wins and no losses, 10 of them earned in the UFC. The Russian fighter has defeated Aljamain Sterling, Arnold Allen and Diego Lopes in succession, and in March 2026 he beat Lerone Murphy in the main event of UFC London. This will be the first title fight of Evloev’s career, and he is determined to become the new UFC Featherweight Champion and join the ranks of Russian UFC champions.
